Flow levels for floating the West Branch of the Delaware River.

400 cfs - I would consider this unfloatable or questionable at best. Most of your day will be spent dragging your boat this leads to an un-enjoyable day.

500 cfs - Minimal floating conditions with less time spent dragging your boat.

600 to 800 cfs and above - The West Branch is now very floatable at these levels.

   Fishing for trout at temperatures 66 degrees Fahrenheit (about 18.8 Celsius) or below is ideal. Fishing for trout at temperatures above 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 Celsius) can be and very often is lethal.
